Caution: Engine under maximum stress, when it is cold

At start up in the morning or when your car engine is cold, do not raise your engine speed beyond 2000 rpm.

At start up the, engine oil and other operating fluids in the car are cold and hence do not offer the best performance, so your car’s engine is under maximum stress at start up. Drive gently at low engine speeds for the first couple of minutes.

On most modern cars, you will have an indication that your car engine is still cold and has not yet reached its operating temperature. You will have a green oil temperature indication glowing. Kindly operate the engine at low rpm till this indication goes off to ensure that the engine is adequately protected.
